This project was built in Drupal 8 to replace the Drupal 6 version that had not been updated in way too long. This project involved implementing SAML authentication to federate users with users that had been pre-authorized by the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN). The purpose of this site is to gather applications for access to licensed GIS data held by the government and process these applications. I created a workflow to expedite what had been a tedious process.

Here’s some feedback from the client:

I just wanted to pass along some good news as we head into the weekend. The NGA team has been fantastic about approving users since communications were sent out to the community for the new website, huge thanks from Jimmy! The new workflow has drastically streamlined the entire HSIN and DUA process. In the past few days alone, 21 users have been approved and gained access to HIFLD Secure and Licensed data, and more are still to be approved!

Wanted to share a win with the team. Have a great weekend everyone!
